Linkin Park: Chester Bennington (1976-2017)

One of the best groups of my generation had to endure losing the lead singer Chester Bennington. The first time I knew about Linkin Park was when I was fifteen with the album Meteora (2003, back then the first musical video I watched was “Faint”). Since then, I’ve been listening to the group and their songs mattered a lot over the years in different circumstances. The songs explored many universal themes from war to alienation from which everyone could relate to and feel identified with. Chester’s voice will not be forgotten and it makes me remember one of their best songs, “Waiting For The End” (A Thousand Suns, 2010) which said “this is not the end, this is not the beginning”.

Blade Runner: 2049 Trailer 2

Finally it is available the second trailer of this awaited sequel. The best part of Blade Runner (1982, Dir. Ridley Scott) was Vangelis’ music that made its sci-fi environment vivid. However, this time is the turn for Jóhann Jóhannsson’s music (The Theory of Everything, 2014, Dir. James Marsh) to surprise us into this new future world.
